Ryan Platt, founder of A Special Needs Plan, was honored by the National Football League's Carolina Panthers as a 2008 Community Quarterback Award Winner.
The Community Quarterback Award is based upon an individual's committment to volunteerism and to making the community a better place to live.
Ryan received the award for his work with and devotion to The Arc of Mecklenburg County.
The Arc of Mecklenburg County is one of 800 chapters of The Arc of the United States which serves more than 7.2 million Americans with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they will have the services and supports they need to grow, develop and live in communities across the nation. These services include early intervention, health care, a free appropriate public education and supports for their families.
